US manufacturers urged Trump to think twice about trade threat

United States manufacturers urged the US elected President Donald Trump to walk out from his trade threats
and pursue nuance approach to trade with China and Mexico and focusing on negotiation.

The chief executives and pro-trade makers says they hope to persuade Trump that free trade agreements can create jobs and help US economy grow.

Trump has earlier said he would quit North America Free Trade Agreements (NAFTA) unless renegotiation on his satisfaction and that he would declare China a currency manipulator to force negotiation for better trade terms.

The president of Alliance for American Manufacturing Scott Paul said he think its easy to paint this trade war versus nothing. "I'm of the belief that there is a lot of space between our current policy and an all-out trade war". Paul said would like to see Trump be more proactive on enforcing existing trade rules.

The vice president of international affairs for the National Association of Manufacturers said there is 2million manufacturing jobs in US and dependent US trade relationship with Canada and Mexico, and so as we go forward we certainly don't want to put those job in jeopardy.
